8 Bible Scriptures to Make You Braver

Fear is a lingering presence in our society today because of the exposure to negative news. People fear the future, their neighbor, uncontrollable situations, and so much more. However, the Word of God will make you braver. He gifted you the Scriptures, so you can handle whatever it is that you are fearing. So, here is our list of 8 Bible scriptures to make you stronger and braver.

2 Timothy 1:7

“For the Spirit, God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”

It is evident in this Scripture. Whenever you feel afraid, ask the Spirit of God to give you the power to fight enemies, overflowing love for the hopeless, and self-discipline to continue what you have begun.

Deuteronomy 31:6

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Whatever you do, wherever you go, God is always with you. So, be strong and summon the courage to face your fears. Whether your worries are metaphorical or physical, you can face them because these fears are nothing when God is with you.

Romans 8:38-39

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Believe in this verse, and you will never fear. This Scripture tells us that no power in the world can separate us from the love of God, and you must believe it. Otherwise, evil lurking in the dark can use the doubt in your heart to breed fear of the unknown.

Luke 12:25

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?”

Stop worrying because worry can’t add a single hour to your life. Worrying might shorten your life. Scientifically speaking, stress, and problems burden your heart and mind. At the same time, these weaken your spiritual resolve. Thus, you can always find assurance in God. You may not understand His ways most of the time, but God wants the best for you.

Psalm 27:1

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”

When God is your light and foundation, you will never fear anyone, anything. If you make God the center of your life, you can do even the most impossible thing you might think of. Fear is a distant past you’ll soon forget.

Matthew 10:28

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

In this Scripture, it means that don’t be afraid of death. Death can kill your physical body but not your soul. The only powerful being who can destroy both the body and soul is God. However, if you believe in Him, you are saved from this annihilation.

Psalm 46:1-3

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

Don’t fear the calamities or the figurative storm in your life. Because at the end of these storms, God will be your refuge and. During these storms, He will be your strength.

2 Timothy 1:12

“That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.”

Suffering is part of your Christian life, so never fear if you experience it in your life. During this time, God will guard your heart, body, mind, and spirit.

Final Words

The message is apparent in the Scripture. God doesn’t want you to feel fear because there’s no reason for it. Every page in the Bible is filled with encouraging words. God wanted you to use this throughout your life in cases you are afraid of the unknown, the future, and anything else. As you can see, He promised that He wouldn’t forsake His children, and that promise remained faithful up to this day.
